School Girl

Collar Top: Urban Outfitters, Sweater: F21, Pants: H&M, Shoes: Sam Edelman 'Petty'

Whenever I see the knit sweater + collar combo, I immediately think of a school girl uniform. Having lived in uniforms all my elementary and high school life, it's hard to stay away from the thought of that classic style when ever I see this trend. That doesn't mean it isn't cute though. I actually adore this trend and couldn't wait to layer this gold tip collar shirt under a mint green knit sweater.

 I'm sure most of you have attempted this trend already, but you don't have to limit yourself to knits. You could layer collared tops undeneath blouses, dresses, or even graphic tees. Then add a blazer or leather jacket on top of it and you're good to go!

I paired my choice with maroon pants (notice my enthusiasm for the christmas season as I cleverly pull of a green and red theme) and my absolute favorite pair of ankle booties. Ankle booties are also a huge trend right now and I suggest you all make an investment. Whether they're flat, wedge, or heel booties, they definitely add some chic to whatever type of bottoms (i.e, skirt, jeans) you decide to wear.
